Through my eyes and mind, the image above depicts a very valuable image to me. On the surface, the image is of early evening clouds with a wash of a combination of pink, orange, yellow, blue, and purple. Above the washed colors of the sky, in front of the clouds is a series of trees all linked together in crisscrossing paths of their leaves and branches. The trees appear black given the lighting of the picture, though they produce a calming yet dramatic contrast when placed against the serene background.
This image seems to have two seperate meanings as to what it could be manipulated into representing.
Through my eyes and mind, the background represents light and life while the trees represent darkness and death. To me, the image represents darkness and light or life and death coexisting in a perfect union within an imperfect world.
Also in the image, the darkness seems to be welling up and over the light which is a stable representation of today's world. Today, death and destruction seems to be all we think about whether having to protect ourselves from it or trying to create newer and even more destructive weapons, giving one or a group of allied countries the upper hand.
