Questions Reflection
Our group decided that our object should be a snail. We chose to use a snail because we wanted to have something that was alive. We were told to ask questions without any answers because we are exercising our ability to ask questions of our own, instead of answering ones other people made. This is a good skill for us to practice because asking questions is an important part of research and could help us with future projects. Questions are important in science because if you never ask questions then they will never be answered and we will never know of anything new. If we never discovered anything new then we would never have furthered our research into the ideas that created the technology that we have today. Creating my questions was a simple task I decided to just come up with as many questions possible, then choose the best ones and add a few more based on my observations of the snail. Curiosity plays a large role in science because if scientists never looked into new ideas they were curious about, then they would've never discovered cures to life threatening diseases or vaccines to protect people from diseases. If scientists were never curios, their job would be pointless because they would never do anything to help anyone. Even though I did not know the answers to all of the questions I had created, I was not bothered because I know that I do not know everything about snails and it is ok to ask questions. I do not have any further interest in snails because I do not find them very interesting when there are so many other things in the world, however it was the most interesting item to use for this project.
